Chantal René was born in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which has been instrumental in her creative expression and joy in “face painting”.  After completing a 3 year course in hairstyling in Zürich, she relocated to Los Angeles where she worked professionally as a hairstylist, before returning to Zürich. Shortly thereafter, she went to England to study at The Complexion International School in London, where she learnt her craft as a makeup artist, and later honed her skill in stage and special effects makeup in Germany.
Chantal is presently teaching at a makeup academy in Zürich, where she is sharing her knowledge in makeup and hairstyling with young adults.  She is also working as a makeup artist/hairstylist for many international fashion photographers, and offers private workshops in makeup.
